About Havstrøm

Havstrøm AS is a Norwegian investment company focusing on product- and solution deliveries for the maritime industry.

The company was founded in 2007 and its purpose is to contribute to growth and development in the businesses it takes ownership. Trough owners and associated companies, Havstrøm AS prossesses a broad and international maritime network, that makes synergies possible for the companies we cooperate with. An active ownership will therefore observe the investments that will take place.

Owners

Christian Krefting and Styrk Bekkenes who both have experience within shipping and maritime delivery business.

Christian Krefting

Educated MBA with a BA degree in Business Administration. Krefting has worked for Stabil Alna and Ifa Alna (1984–1990). In 1990 he started to build up Strømme Ships Service and continued this work for 16 years. Through this period, Krefting was the main investor in the company.

Strømme merged with Tesma Ship Management in 2006 and became Eitzen Maritime Services ASA. 30th of March 2006, Krefting resigned as CEO for the company and sold his shares.

Christian Krefting is now an employee of Krefting AS where he also is the Chairman of the board. Krefting is engaged in industrial and shipping investments through Krefting AS.

Styrk Bekkenes

From 1995 until 2005 Bekkenes built up Norwegian Maritime Equipment AS (NME) as company owner and manager. In 2005 NME was sold to Strømme Ships Service where Bekkenes became Sales Director, and also share holder through his own investment company, Bekkenes AS.

Strømme merged with Tesma Ship Management in 2006 and was renamed Eitzen Maritime Services ASA. March 30. 2006 Bekkenes also decided to resign and sell is shares in the newly merged company.

Styrk Bekkenes is of today main share holder and Managing Director in Noreq AS, manufactorer and supplier of maritime lifesaving equipment and fender products.
